can you add:

       BASECFLAGS="-mthreads $BASECFLAGS"
       LDFLAGS="-mthreads $LDFLAGS"

when compiling with threads, and... a second request: _block_ people
from compiling without mthreads, because there's a bug in wine's
msvcrt _filbuf routine where it doesn't perform CRLF (at all)
and it should.
