Ok, it looks like following gcc 4.4.0 release, there is an installer for the whole toolchain: http://www.equation.com/servlet/equation.cmd?call=fortran This installs gcc (C+Fortran+C++ compilers, the download is ~ 40 Mb), and it can be used from the command line as conventional mingw32. Hopefully, this should make the patch much easier to test.
