Github has release two new permission levels on repositories. Discuss the current permission levels and the new beta versions.

Permission Levels

  • Read (Existing) - Can read and clone this repo. Can open and comment on issues and pull requests.
  • Triage (Beta) - Can read and clone this repo. Can manage issues and pull requests.
  • Write (Existing) - Can read, clone, and push to this repository. Can also manage issues and pull requests.
  • Maintain (Beta) - Can read, clone, and push to this repo. They can manage issues, pull requests, and some repo settings.
  • Admin (Existing) - Can read, clone, and push to this repo. Can manage issues, pull requests, and repo settings, including adding collaborators.
