This is the home of the GradeBoundaries.com initiative. We’re just a small team of students trying to make sense of A-Level data so other people don't have to struggle with messy PDFs and confusing tables.
We keep our work split across two main areas:
- gradeboundaries-stable: This is the live version of the site. It’s what you see when you visit the dashboard. It’s focused on being fast, reliable, and keeping the datasets (Edexcel, CIE, OCR, and Oxford AQA) accurate.
- gradeboundaries-dev: This is where we actually build. It’s the messy part where we test new features, break the UI, and try out new ways to visualize data before moving it over to the stable site.
We don’t just look at code; we look at the community. We use a custom hit counter with GoatCounter to see how many people are actually using these tools.
When you see that "total-visits" number climbing on the site, it’s a reminder to us that there are thousands of students out there, just like us, who need this information. Seeing those numbers go up in real-time makes the late nights spent updating spreadsheets feel worth it. Thank you for using what we build.
This project was started by Fire-Frog-Fuel and ChessMastermind. We’re A-Level students who realized the data we needed was out there, but it was hard to find and even harder to read. We built this to solve that problem for ourselves and decided to keep it open for everyone else.
If you’re here because you’re checking boundaries after a rough mock or waiting for results: we get it. The pressure is real, and sometimes a single number feels like it's defining your whole year.
Just remember that these boundaries change every year and they don't say anything about how hard you worked or what you're capable of. Use the data to plan your next move, but don't let it get in your head too much. Take a break, drink some water, and remember you're doing fine.
