Does this script really work in later versions of Windows (sorry, Linux user here with no VM set up)? I'd be tempted to leave in the bit using Powershell or at least provide alternates. This script does modify the registry after all:

Link py2 docs to py3 docs. Fix invisible subheading. Note that pip is part of the Python install now; closes realpython#347. Suggest avoiding eol 2.6 unless paid specifically.
