These darlings are only two weeks old! They don't belong to us, but we had fun visiting with them. Aren't they sweet?
Baby guinea pigs have to be the cutest babies in the animal world. They are born with their eyes open, covered in fur, able to walk immediately, and usually nibble on solid food the first day or so.
We've raised many guinea pigs over the years and I think they are the best small pet for kids. They are social, gentle, have heaps of personality and can even learn tricks-just search on youtube to see lots of guinea pig tricks. We've also owned hamsters, bunnies, gerbils, and mice and all make nice pets, but in my opinion, I'd recommend a guinea pig above all others.
Here's a photo of Midnight and Baby Misty taken two years ago. Sadly, Midnight passed away last summer at a ripe old age (for a guinea pig) and Baby Misty isn't a baby anymore. We'll post a new photo of him soon.
