BREAKING: The Trump administration is moving to open Alaska's Tongass Forest—the largest old-growth rainforest in the United States—to the logging industry.

Not only do local Indigenous communities and species of wildlife depend on it, but the Tongass also stores more carbon per acre than almost any other forest on the planet, which makes preserving it a matter of real urgency in the fight against climate change.
