Biography:

I'm a physicist by profession and an amateur insect collector. I've been collecting since 1974, mostly in Ohio, California, and New Mexico, where I've lived. One of my areas of expertise is optical diagnostics. I often post high resolution images of arthropods down to the millimeter range and below using an automated stacked imaging system that I designed and built.

I generally use Markup to provide a link in my image remarks to the full resolution image as submitted. It is at an address made available to the contributor when logged in by clicking the image. Please note Creative Commons terms for use.
