
Little Robots, Big Missions
Robofest, hosted by Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI, is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots encouraging students to have fun while learning STEAM and Computer Science principles.
Students can design, construct, and program the robots using any robotics kit and programming language.

Since 1999, over 38,700 students have competed in Robofest, including teams from 18 United States and the countries of Algeria, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, England, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Macau, Malaysia, Malawi, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, UAE and Uzbekistan.

Competition Categories
Student teams with up to 5 members each can participate in a variety of events.
Teams compete in Junior (grades 5-8), and Senior (grades 9-12) Divisions.
RoboParade (Expanded Junior Division) includes 4th grade.

Unique missions using fully autonomous robots. Robofest Game puts math skills to the test!

Be the fastest robot to push bottles off the table OR be the last robot remaining. Great for beginners to autonomous robotics.

Unknown Mission Challenge:
Mission tasks are totally unknown until the day of competition

Advanced category for high school students.


Robotic music, dance, visual arts and story-telling projects and interactive kinetic sculptures.
