NTSC 16:9 equivalent aspect ratio

[edit]

"This means that a purely digitally sourced widescreen SDTV image, with no analogue blanking, will be close to 1050x576 or 854x480."

Wouldn't it be closer to 870-875x480, based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard-definition_television#Pixel_aspect_ratio ?

Yeah the whole point of this section is to show the true equivalent aspect ratio of a full 720 width is more than 16:9, not just 16:9.Whophd (talk) 10:51, 10 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Line duration

[edit]

The line duration of 52us needs a source; Also bt.601 defines pixels and not a line duration so its very confusing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.216.147.142 (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
