Join ACRL LES for a combined Reference & Collections Discussion 6/30!

Monday, June 30, 2025
12:00-1:15pm PST / 3:00-4:15pm EST / 2:00-3:15pm CST

Reference Discussion

  • What has worked in integrating special collections into classroom experiences? Any recent success stories or lessons learned?
  • Primary source databases are often not friendly for students who need accommodations. (i.e. screen readers don’t work with all databases.) What techniques have worked in making primary sources accessible to all?
  • Does your library have reference tutorials, modules, or other asynchronous learning objects? What is the process for creating and updating those? What tools, platforms, or technology do you use?

Collections Discussion

  • Considering the emphasis on publishing monographs in the humanities, we have a lot of books under our care. What weeding projects has your library been working on recently? Any success stories or unique challenges?
