Washington Rural Heritage

Washington Rural Heritage.

In October, 2023, the Reardan Memorial Library received a grant from the Washington State Library, Office of the Secretary of State, and funded under the provisions of the Library and Services Technology Act from the federal Institue of Museum and Library Services. This grant allowed the library to add some of our scrapbook pictures to the Washington Rural Heritage collection. Part of the mission of this collection is to “enable small and rural libraries to create digital collections of unique items that highlight institutional holdings and tell the stories of their communities.”

This grant was funded by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Libby is avaialble to all of our patrons. Libby has ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines for checkout. Items are checked out for 14 or 21 days, depending on your settings. Then, the items are automatically returned. Or you can return them early.

One of the greatest advantages to the Libby collection is the number of iitems available. 54,003 unique titles are in the collection of ebooks. There are 25,578 audiobooks that can be enjoyed. 85,136 magazines are available.

In 2024 patrons downloaded 3,353 ebooks, audiobooks, and emagazines.

Because we use bar codes, your number may need to be preceded by zeroes. The total number of digits should be 14. For example: 00000000012345.
