Beyblade Commercial Ad Concept by Justin Buisson and Aurélien Thomas

A COMMERCIAL CONCEPT FOR BEYBLADE

Beyblade used to create crazy ads to sell their toys back in the days. We tried to recreate the same feeling with all the clichés you could imagine. If you want even more details, I made a YouTube Video explaining the whole creation process.

THE SHOOTING

First, it was the shooting day. We chose a bright day without sun so we can get the best diffused light possible. Our storyboard helped us a lot during the shoot. For info, we used a Sony A7C paired with a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 lens.

THE POST-PRODUCTION

This was probably the biggest part of the project. First, we had to make a rough edit. It looks bad but we had to do it to get an idea of the rythm. After that, it's all about adding effects, composing the image, making some color adjustments, working on the look and aspect ratio to fit an old school commercial.
Most of the 3D part was made by Aurélien Thomas!

THE SOUND DESIGN

This was probably the funniest part of the project. The voice-over made by Théo Nigro is just insane: a lot of humor and energy is the perfect combo. After that, we added some basic sound effects to enhance the transitions and the whole project.
