Happy New Year!

We have had a busy fall with a successful worksite wellness conference in October, and now preparing for the Health Department's move to Waterbury:

The 2023 Vermont Worksite Wellness Awards and Conference was held October 24. The theme, Creating Organizational Culture to Support Employee Wellness drew over 350 participants who were all happy to be at this in-person conference after a three-year hiatus. Planning is underway for next year's conference and we will announce the date soon.
The Vermont Department of Health will be moving its offices to Waterbury this winter. This will be a staged move starting in late January. Our mailing address will change to Vermont Department of Health, 280 State Drive, Waterbury, VT 05671-8380. All other contact information (phone, email) will stay the same.

Here's hoping those of you that enjoy the snow will soon find conditions like those in the photo above (Sugarbush last season) very soon and that you have an active healthy winter season.

Announcing New VDH Arthritis Program

The Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Program is pleased to announce the start of the newly funded State Public Health Approaches to Addressing Arthritis Program. The overall goal of this program is to improve arthritis management and quality of life for adults with arthritis.

Responding to an evolving workplace: VDH is listening!

On October 24^th, 2023 Vermont Department of Health, in collaboration with the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, held its first in-person Worksite Wellness Conference since 2019. The workplace and challenges for employers has changed significantly since the last conference.
