[edit]I saw you poking around on my Elizabeth draft -- if you feel like we should make a separate page for her, as I do, I would appreciate your help in lobbying for a change. The couple's page is stupid long because people won't let it get split and it's an inevitability that it has to happen because one of them is going to die and then the other one is just going to keep trucking away with their usual business. Also I think we can make a really good case that it's similar to the Adelson's where combining them would have been a massive mistake. SprinklerLover12 (talk) 16:32, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @SprinklerLover12: I tend to agree that notable individuals should have individual pages, outside of very rare "Bonnie and Clyde"-type circumstances that do not exist here. I would certainly support a split in this case. BD2412 T 16:38, 2 June 2025 (UTC)

The article Beaver Creek (Pennsylvania) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not encyclopedic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

[edit]I was trying to find a post you had recently made, and went to your userpage to click and view your "User contributions". Unfortunately, none of the standard links in the lefthand sidebar of your userpage are clickable, apparently due to the bouncing graphic of the Wikipedia globe. BD2412 T 02:23, 14 June 2025 (UTC)ology
[edit]Not appropriate for the AfD, but you would not believe the fabricated words I removed from List of words with the suffix -ology when I starting working on this in response to a request to to WP:LISTS. There were so many redlinked words with no confirmation that these were actually words. The first I boldly removed was woodpeckerology, still my favorite. The person who created the list saved a copy before I made deep cuts because they thought it was useful to list everything. Maybe, if we could say "this is not a real word". Anyway, this strange application of -ology does seem to make it unique amongst the suffixes. Although "ish" had it moment. Rublamb (talk) 03:22, 15 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi - just looking at the two articles you undeleted for Fade999, Draft:Head Malkaani was mostly created by User:Studtick, who was blocked as a sock of banned User:Nauman335. Another sock of the same editor is User:N.edits335, who created Benazir Bhutto Bridge (which is why it was deleted G5). I hear quacking. Black Kite (talk) 21:42, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- Actually, don't worry - I've just looked at their contribs and they're editing the same articles as Nauman335 socks, so I'm just going to block them and delete the articles again. Black Kite (talk) 21:48, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Black Kite: I see no reason to doubt that this town and this bridge actually exist as described, and therefore see no benefit to the encyclopedia in deleting them. BD2412 T 21:49, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- They almost certainly do, but we can't simply accede to requests from socks of banned editors to do so. If you want to re-instate them yourself with a note in the undeletion log saying that you're taking responsibility for them then I don't see that's an issue, though. Black Kite (talk) 21:57, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Black Kite: I have restored the article on the bridge, for which some additional coverage exists. The draft appears from the sole cited source to be for a neighborhood rather than an independent locality, so I will not bother further with it. BD2412 T 22:05, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

The article Affect (company) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NCORP. When you ignore the WP:USERG-violating GameFAQs it's essentially unsourced.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

- @Zxcvbnm: I'm not actually super attached to having an article on this subject myself, but Affect is a disambiguation page, and in the process of cleaning up links to that page I found several intending the company, so I preferred to create something for them to point to rather than remove the links. I would prefer if there were some possible alternative to deletion that would preserve those links. My concern is that editors will just re-link the company name, pointing back to the disambiguation page again. BD2412 T 12:12, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- This seems like a situation where there just shouldn't be a link. If someone links it to the DAB page, then that should just be reverted. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 12:20, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- You would think so, but it becomes a never-ending battle. It's easier to just have a target. Not necessarily this target, if there is perhaps a list mentioning the subject to which the link could point, but something rather than nothing. BD2412 T 12:26, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- While annoying, there are tools to easily deal with situations like that, I use DisamAssist which can quickly remove any links to the DAB that are irrelevant in seconds. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 01:30, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Zxcvbnm: How about we redirect this title to List of video game publishers, which lists Affect, and add this as a reference (or this) to that line. Then editors searching for the company can see that listing, and will know that's what we have on it. BD2412 T 01:36, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

BD2412 T 02:21, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Possible Canvassing at RfC
[edit]Hi, BD2412. I pinged you and a couple of other editors in regard to possible canvassing at an RfC on the Michael Jackson article talk page. The editor in question even mass-pinged all those editors, incl. uninvolved editors and dormant accounts, above the opening RfC statement. Could you please have a look? Israell (talk) 22:11, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
- He pinged 18 editors, a few of which had already voted, and several of which are likely to vote "Yes" like he did. Israell (talk) 22:24, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
