Yearly, we hold a Barks & Blues Music Festival that allows people to come together in our city's main park and enjoy free music from local talent.  While this is a lot of work, the payoff is community awareness, and depending on the number and amount of sponsors for the event we're able to get, that's the amount that we raise for our shelter minus some of the costs.  People in our community really look forward to this event.
