Joint national/international Expanded Programme on Immunization and vaccine preventable disease surveillance review and post-introduction evaluation for pneumococcal conjugate, influenza and COVID-19 vaccines

Overview

The joint national/international Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) and vaccine-preventable disease surveillance review and post-introduction evaluation of pneumococcal conjugate, influenza, and COVID-19 vaccines was conducted in Bhutan on 18–29 March 2024. It recognized the considerable success achieved in preventing, controlling, and eliminating vaccine-preventable diseases and in new vaccine introduction. The foundation for Bhutan’s success in health lies in its investment in primary health care and a competent and dedicated health workforce.
