Résumé

Admise depuis longtemps pour les amputations de membres, la notion d’une imputabilité de la technique chirurgicale dans la genèse de douleurs post-chirurgicales tardives s’est imposée beaucoup plus récemment. D’abord rapportée sous forme de cas cliniques, puis d’études consacrées à une intervention particulière, cette complication attend encore quelques grands travaux princeps consacrés aux mécanismes en cause dans sa genèse. Nous disposons aujourd’hui essentiellement d’études comparant différentes techniques ou approches chirurgicales dans quelques domaines particuliers de la chirurgie, dont la chirurgie herniaire. Or, si les conséquences douloureuses des cures de hernie inguinale ont fait l’objet de très nombreux travaux, il est difficile d’extrapoler à tout type d’intervention les résultats des multiples techniques de cette chirurgie pariétale.
