Abstract
Femoroacetabular impingement syndrome occurs when abnormal contact between the acetabulum and femoral head results in pain and restricted motion of the hip. It is more common in young adults and athletes and, over time, leads to degeneration of both osseous structures and soft tissues. This syndrome can be treated with conservative measures but may require surgery for definitive treatment.
