Zusammenfassung

Nachfolgend werden zunächst physikalische Eigenschaften von Metall-Halbleiter-Übergängen beschrieben, daran anschließend Hinweise zu ihrer technologischen Herstellung gegeben.1 Metall-Halbleiter-Übergänge treten zum einen bei der Kontaktierung von Bauelementen (vorwiegend polungsunabhängige Kontakte) auf; zum anderen werden Metall-Halbleiter-Übergänge als eigenständige Bauelemente verwendet (z.B. in Form von Schottky-Dioden, Schottky-Impatt-Dioden).
