Abstract
Narcolepsy has traditionally been regarded as a nonimmunological disease. However, the findings of a strong association between narcolepsy and an HLA antigen have led to a new speculation: an altered regulatory system of immune response may underlie the pathogenesis of narcolepsy (Billiard and Seignalet 1985; Matsuki et al. 1985; Langdon et al. 1986).
