Support Volunteer Service Solutions

The Maine Volunteer Foundation believes that, working together, we can help Mainers address local needs. Whether it is a modest gift from an individual or small business, or a generous grant from a corporate foundation or private philanthropy, the contributions work together to reach rural villages as well as urban neighborhoods. What will you support?

Areas of need

Grants & Program Funding

Grant funding of $5,000 or more

Grants and other help to cover Service Year and Maine Service Year Fellows programs that support young adults who want to serve their country by helping a Maine community tackle a significant challenge.

Training & Technical Assistance

Gift levels from $500 – $5,000

Support the development of volunteer leaders and service participant training, through opportunities that fostering skill and knowledge growth including coursework, certifications and micro credentials.

Awards & Events

Gift levels from $250 – $5,000

Contribute to the recognition of significant impact of volunteers and service members to the State of Maine, through events such as the Governor’s Service Awards and the National Service Staff Recognition Luncheon.

Specialized Volunteer Programs

Gift levels from $2,000 – $10,000

Funding for special programs that address urgent and recognized areas of need, such as youth service, disaster preparedness, climate resilience and impact. Support includes program development and activities.
