Whittier Elementary PTO: Empowering Our School Community!

Welcome to Whittier Elementary School! As a DC Public School serving students from PK3 through 5th grade in Washington, D.C.'s Manor Park neighborhood, we're dedicated to fostering a vibrant learning environment. 

The PTO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of passionate parents, dedicated teachers & staff, and supportive community members. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to support students, staff, and families in achieving their highest potential. We do this by:

• Enhancing Learning Experiences: Funding essential classroom resources, educational programs, and enriching activities that go beyond the school's standard budget.

• Supporting Our Educators: Providing resources and appreciation to our incredible teachers and staff, helping them create the best possible learning environment.

• Building Community: Organizing fun events and initiatives that bring Whittier families together, strengthening the bonds within our school community.

• Advocating for Our School: Representing the needs and interests of Whittier Elementary to ensure our students have everything they need to thrive.
