Kimmorley stars in Anzacs victory

A combined Australian and New Zealand rugby league team has defeated English side Cumbria 64-12 in England this morning.

Half-back Brett Kimmorley was named man-of-the-match for the Anzacs, while prop Mark O'Meley scored three tries.

Kimmorley booted nine goals from 10 attempts and now looks certain to return to the Australian Test side for this weekend's Test against Great Britain in Manchester.

Kimmorley is expected to fill the half-back role, which would see Craig Gower move to five-eighth as cover for injured captain Darren Lockyer.

Shaun Timmins and Ben Kennedy missed the Anzacs' match with a virus.
