Lockyer due to return against France

Australian captain Darren Lockyer is set to return to the Kangaroos' line-up for their Test match against France on November 21.

Lockyer aggravated a recurring rib injury against New Zealand in London last month and missed Sunday's narrow four-point win over Great Britain.

Lockyer told the Brisbane Broncos web site he expected to be fit for the French clash, which he would use to regain his fitness for the Tri-Nations final in Leeds on November 27.

"Now we're in the final, I have a few more weeks to recover and I am pretty sure I'll be right," he said.

"I'm hoping to get some time against France before the final though, just to keep my fitness up."

Australia's next Tri-Nations match is against Great Britain in Wigan on November 13.

Great Britain meets New Zealand in a crunch match this Sunday morning Australian time.
