Your privacy is very important to us.

As journalists, we understand the need to keep confidential sources confidential. Accordingly, we do not collect personally identifiable information on our web site or otherwise unless you choose to give it to us via an electronic mail message, a phone call, or by postal mail. Even when you choose to give us information, we keep it confidential.

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mailing lists or other personally identifiable information. Most of us maintain client lists as part of our various businesses as well as a second list of sources for the writing business. We do not, however, provide this information to anyone else unless you give us your permission.

We do not enable cookies on our web site.  Our hosting service collects information about the date and time in which our web site was accessed and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked to our site. We do not analyze this information, though we do occasionally look at it. (Mostly in amazement. Why, for example, were people in Colombia and Croatia looking us over?)  E-mail addresses and other personally identifiable information are not available to us.
