� According to 2001 Census data, the English-speaking
population in the Qu�bec and Chaudi�re-Appalaches
regions numbers 13,738.
According to a CROP-Missisquoi perception study carried
out in 2000 among Anglophones in the Quebec region:
�22% were born outside of Canada
�17% had one or both parents whose mother tongue is
neither English nor French (35% for Province) (CROP-MI);
�86 % of the regions Anglophones were conversationally
bilingual
�62% most frequently use French at work/school
�19% have a Francophone mother (tied for highest in
Province)
�43% were married to Francophones
