At the CeBIT-2011 International Exhibition, RTEC and the Skolkovo Foundation announced their collaboration in the field of high technologies in Russia

Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC), the manufacturer of trusted telecommunications equipment, for the first time participated in the biggest international exhibition, the CeBIT-2011, devoted to information and telecommunication technologies. The forum that was held from March 1 - 5 in Hannover (Germany) was attended by more than 4,200 companies from 70 countries around the world.

 At the exhibition, RTEC introduced representatives of the global IT community to the company’s activities and announced its collaboration with the Skolkovo Foundation in the field of high technologies and innovative development of the domestic IT industry. RTEC is the only Russian company, which was a co-exhibitor of Skolkovo and had the opportunity to make itself known on the forum, covering all sectors of the industry more fully than any other exhibition on the same subject in the world.

"We are grateful to the Skolkovo Foundation for giving us this opportunity to participate in CeBIT-2011,” said Andrei Badalov, first deputy general director at RTEC. “Our interest in the international forum of this level is not surprising as RTEC is the only company in Russia which, in cooperation with the world leaders in the IT industry, develops and manufactures certified telecommunications equipment with the use of Russian solutions in the field of cryptography and encryption. Thus, RTEC provides for the adaptation of technologies of foreign vendors to meet the requirements of the Russian market.

“CeBIT is a unique platform for communication and exchange of experience in the rapidly developing field of IT technologies,” says Olga Kalinina, director of public relations at RTEC. “The main objective of our participation in the exhibition is to introduce representatives of the global IT community to the company and tell them about the advantages offered by RTEC. Already now among our foreign partners are such companies as Alcatel-Lucent, Polycom, ESRI CIS, and Finmeccanica. In the near future we plan to sign agreements with several other leaders of the IT industry, and hope to get new partners from among the participants of CeBIT-2011."

The Skolkovo exposition was awarded a letter of gratitude from the president of CeBIT, Ernst Raue, which says that the exhibition booth demonstrated Russia's effort to stimulate and develop innovative entrepreneurship, create favorable conditions for the functioning of intellectual activities.
