Oct 6th 2009 10:12AM I don't own the powermat but I have a similar product made by WildCharge and I love it. It eliminates the need for me to plug in my iPhone to charge it and lets me just set it down on the mat that's on my nightstand to charge it. The one I have is a bit cheaper than the Powermat one (I think it was ~$80 for the mat and phone case) and, except for the little nub at the bottom is the best case I have owned for my iPhone.
That being said, there are still some downsides. I have to remove the case if I want to sync it to iTunes or charge it in my car. Actually, that's really the only downside I can think of. It is more durable than the silicon Belkin cover I used to have that ripped and can't come apart like a slider case.

Aug 14th 2009 4:55PM I have the WildCharge pad and skin for my iPhone and love it. At first glance, I thought this new product seemed really, really dumb but the more I think about it, the more I like it. I don't that anyone is buying the mat and PowerDisc alone. I think it's more for people that already own the mat and want to be able to charge something else on there and also not take up an extra outlet.
