Build Infrastructure Group

This group consists of those developers interested in and actively developing or maintaining the OpenJDK build process.

The mailing list may include anyone interested in tracking any OpenJDK build issues.

Introduction

The basic and traditional build process of the OpenJDK involves machine setup (installation of necessary products), setting shell environment variables, and running GNU Make. There are variations between Solaris, Linux, and Windows builds, but all require access to a C/C++ compiler. See the OpenJDK Build README for details.
