Nintendo at E3 1996
Hold up, buddy.
The Nintendo 64 release was just around the corner at E3 1996 in Los Angeles. Consequently, many of its launch window titles were shown, and the system itself appeared in playable form on the floor of this expo.
The Big Announcements

The system was announced in a pre-E3 press conference, along with Super Mario 64. The Game Boy Pocket also made an appearance. On the floor, visitors to Nintendo's booth could receive an introduction to the system lead by Nintendo representatives, who discussed the system's features, like the Memory Pak and analog stick and showed off a demo of Super Mario 64.
Nintendo had a handful of additional Nintendo 64 titles at the booth in 1996, such as Pilotwings 64, Wave Race 64 and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. The latter was playable, and the Hoth level was shown in rough form.
