Los Angeles based jazz vocalist Calabria Foti releases “Let’s Fall In Love”, a duet with the RED-HOT RIGHT NOW Family Guy creator and this year’s Oscar host, Seth MacFarlane. A swinging track, Calabria and Seth bring back all the heated excitement and romance of the ‘50s. Available online at www.itunes.com and other digital outlets, “Let’s Fall In Love” features a full big band with string section a la Nelson Riddle and Frank Sinatra.
MacFarlane joined Calabria Foti in the studio to re-create their successful live performances in Los Angeles jazz clubs. Says Foti, “We had such a good time doing these Bing Crosby/Rosie Clooney-style duets live, we thought it would be fun to put something on CD. Seth is a wonderful singer, and “Let’s Fall In Love” turned out great!”
The single is a preview of Foti’s upcoming full-length project entitled, “So Nice to Come Home To”, scheduled for release in Summer 2013. The CD is a follow-up to her highly-acclaimed recording, “A Lovely Way To Spend An Evening”, and will include lush ballads and swingers from The American Songbook, plus duets with MacFarlane, and singer/guitarist John Pizzarelli. About Calabria’s CDs, legendary crooner Johnny Mathis has proclaimed, “ . . . Calabria’s voice is some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard!”
