All nurses and midwives from BHS are able to attend these programs at minimal or no cost, courtesy of the Department of Health and Human Services funding and the commitment that BHS has to assisting the professional development of their nursing staff.
This complies with the strategic direction of the Centre of Education and Training to promote excellence in nursing practice and promotes and enhances patient outcomes through improved nursing practice.
BHS offers this education to all nurses, midwives and other health professionals, but those working outside the Grampians Region or within the private system will be required to pay more to attend the education program.
This education model is also funded by the Department of Health and Human Services.
Ballarat Health Services, Beaufort and Skipton Health Service, Djerriwarrh Health Service, Dunmunkle Health Service, East Grampians Health Service, East Wimmera Health Service, Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital, Hepburn Health Service, Rural Northwest Health Service, Stawell Health Service, West Wimmera Health Service and Wimmera Health Care Group all form part of this education model.
