Located in the Mondrian Soho hotel, this old-world-inspired lounge � created by Armin Amiri � is a vision of thirties Beijing, with Chinese characters, found objects, birdcages, throw rugs and beaded curtains strewn about for decoration. The specialty cocktails� like the Horny Goat Weed Chaser � all manage to underscore the attitude of playful kitsch. Otherwise, Mister H is classic nightclub: a DJ (oftentimes Mia Moretti) spins tracks, and the prices on the bottle service menu could inspire a Seinfeldian rant or two. Also, there’s no official dress code, but the door can be pretty selective, so dress up and try to get your name on the list. — Ben Lebeaux
