You are correct - Pontia protodice
I should have paid more close attention when I moved it the first time. The square spot on the front wing and the dark coloring being so black, meant I just glanced at it and moved it without double checking.

Beckers white, Pontia beckerii, you can tell since the large black spot on middle of forewings has a little white in it.

It was pointed out to me that this looks more like P. protodice. I'm looking particularly at the pattern along the wing edges.
