I have been reading the Tweepy documentation as I try to use it for a new project.
As it wasn't clear to me what the difference between OAuth 1a and OAuth 2 authentication mechanisms is, I opted to use OAuth 2 as it involved fewer steps. Great success followed, I was able to search for users, hashtags, etc.
However, when trying to stream, I was
The mapping that I use follows the documentation. We have a list of nested JSON objects
It's an issue in the ELK stack, not Twint. Workarounds/solutions are welcome.
What we can do
- index the list of objects
- read them in the documents
- search for documents via Console or REST API (thanks to ieosint for spotting this out)
What we can't do
- search for documents in Kibana's sear

When someone posts a quote-tweet the app ignores it other than linking to the quote. It could instead display the tweet being quoted below along with an indentation to indicate quoting.

Currently when I'm either downloading from sources or importing files, very little output is written to the screen. I'd love it if I can see some kind of progress being made or some kind of logging information being printed. Even if I have to add a flag to get it.
Add flags to readme
I want to always add descriptions to images because it's important for accessibility, but sometimes I forget to.
An option to warn the user when they are about to tweet an image that doesn't have a description would be nice.
When setting the config option meta.defaults.canonical

, the canonical URL will be set from the value of Url::full()
instead of Url::current()
. Url::full()
includes query parameters and the canonical URL is usually used to strip away query parameters like UTM tags, search parameters, and so on.
I mean, what's even the point of specifying a canonical URL from the full URL? That'

It is common for any distribution to install a tool in a system location. tinfoleak seems design only to be ran from a current folder. Please enhance it. Here is the official python documentation https://docs.python.org/2/distutils/setupscript.html but there is a bigger problem.
The tool should follow Linux Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS) directory structure in order to archive this.
Please see this picture which occurs when downloading FROM SITES OTHER THAN TWITTER:
Not only that, it is auto-generating (aka overriding) the native auto-generated download name to "download.htm". This was on a non-Twitter site when attempting to ALT-click a file

Hi,
perhaps I did not look good enough, but I could not find a manual that states what circular does, ie its features, and howto use it with twitter for instance.
Where is a manual?

I'd suggest one of those clickable eyeballs next to the credential for viewing it.
Possibly require a password to view/change it.
