Newsroom Editorial Internships
The internship application deadline for our Winter-Spring 2023 internship program is October 15.
Do you like digging in to find answers to hard questions? Do you enjoy captivating friends with a well-told story? The Christian Science Monitor offers paid internships to self-starters who have analytical skills, a basic understanding of world events, and can write and edit with clarity and precision. Audio and video skills are a plus. Come work alongside top-flight editors and writers in a dynamic newsroom that strives to show hope and progress amid a divisive media landscape. For those applicants who lean more toward business, ask about storytelling opportunities through the Monitor’s social media accounts.
Work Schedule: Paid and academic interns will work Monday through Friday, between 35 to 40 hours a week. Position is based in Boston, Mass. The Boston newsroom has returned to a hybrid work schedule. In-person work is expected for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Summer internships run from May 31 to Aug. 12. Application deadline is January 15.
- Fall internships run from September through December. Application deadline is May 15.
- Spring internships run from January through the third week of May. Application deadline is October 15.
