A dynamic forum where information professionals learn, discuss, advocate, and create scholarship on and about government information at all levels (local, state, national, and international).

Our Mission

The mission of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) is to 1) provide a forum for discussion of problems, concerns, and for exchange of ideas by librarians working with government document; 2) provide a force for initiating and supporting programs to increase availability, use, and bibliographic control of documents; 3) increase communication between documents librarians and other librarians; (4) to contribute to the extension and improvement of education and training of documents librarians.

The Government Documents Round Table will be holding our Annual Virtual Meetings June 9-12.
These meetings are open to all, just register using the button below. Registering allows you to attend any of the GODORT virtual meetings. You do not need to be an ALA or GODORT member to attend GODORT meetings. Check out the schedule and join us next week to learn more about GODORT..
Read about GODORT's in-person events in Philadelphia, during the ALA Annual Conference on Friday June 27 and Saturday June 28. Registration to the ALA Conference is only required to attend the GODORT meetings held at the on-site conference.

Any ALA member with an interest in government information may become a member of GODORT! GODORT provides its members with many opportunities for discussion, continuing education and participation. Learn more.
