Dextre Approaches RRM With Wire Cutter Tool

The Dextre robot, with Wire Cutter Tool "in hand," approaches the Robotic Refueling Mission payload during March 2011 operations on the International Space Station. In the moments that followed, Dextre and the RRM tool performed the most intricate task ever attempted by a space robot, cutting two separate “lock wire” 20-thousandths of an inch (0.5 millimeters) in diameter.
