RRM and Dextre Accomplish the Most Dexterous Space Robot Maneuver
NASA image captured March 2012
The Robotic Refueling Mission (RRM) completed the most dexterous space robot maneuver to date when the Dextre robot’s 12-foot arm used an RRM to tool successfully snip two twisted wires, each the thickness of two sheets of paper, with a mere few millimeters of clearance– a task essential to the satellite refueling process.
