Responsible Conduct of Research Short Course: Empowered Mentorship: Thriving as Mentee and Mentor Through Challenges and Growth 

Join this workshop to learn more about how to empower yourself as a mentee and as a mentor during your journey through different mentoring relationships.  Faculty leaders will guide the session through topics such as fostering an empowering training environment, navigating hard conversations, establishing and continuing to build your science through rigor, and forging a path forward in your career. By the end of the workshop, you will have a toolkit that you can start using at the meeting to develop your mentoring relationships.

Early Career Poster Session

Join a special poster session and networking event featuring early career participants from various programs, including the Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP), the Early Career Policy Ambassadors (ECPA), the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN), international partner organizations, including the Chinese Neuroscience Society (CNS), Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS, International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), and Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS), as well as the Trainee Professional Development Awardees (TPDA). 

Career Development Topics: A Networking Event

Experienced neuroscientists will answer attendee questions on a wide range of topics at this informal, roundtable event. Topics include work-life balance, how to navigate the PhD process, funding, job application strategies for postdoctoral positions, and careers outside of academia, among others. The event will offer nearly 20 tables. Attendees will have the opportunity to rotate among the tables that are of interest to them. Neuroscientists at all career stages are encouraged to attend.
