Countryside Animafest Cyprus 2025: Selection Results

From the new Donato Sansone film (Dark Globe) to the Estonian acclaimed puppet short 'On Weary Wings Go by' by Anu-Laura Tuttelberg (interviewed at Zippy Frames), the 24th edition of Countryside Animafest Cyprus features again an eclectic programme of auteur-driven animation -but also animation for children and its National, Cypriot competition program.
Scheduled for 8 to 10 August 2025, the Cyprus festival features 33 animation shorts from 18 countries, selected from over 700 global submissions. The Young Audience competition includes 8 films from 5 countries. The Cypriot Program features five films, and 10 more will screen in the non-competitive Cyprus Panorama.
