Help:Archiving (plain and simple)
Appearance
To add an archives and search box to any talk page, copy the code in the box below (from this page right here, not by going into edit mode) and insert it (as is with no changes) after the talk page headers (all the other stuff with curly brackets at the top of the edit box). Copy the entire thing, including the two opening brackets and the two final brackets.

This generates a searchable box with a list of archives similar to the one on the right.
Code to be copied and pasted:
{{subst:Setup auto archiving|archives=yes}}
After that, a bot will be along within the next day to start archiving. This should work even if there has already been a previous manual archive.
