Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Recording studios in Uganda
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Category:Recording studios in Uganda indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 08:11, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

Question from MaxyBoyyYT (22:57, 2 July 2025)
[edit]I spent all day making an article (Tsundere Twintails), it got deleted. I was really proud of it because it looked like a fancy article that WOUDN't get deleted. help... --MaxyBoyyYT (talk) 22:57, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- @MaxyBoyyYT your article was moved to draft space at Draft:Tsundere Twintails. It can be moved back to normal article status but it is likely to be deleted for real unless you can find some independent sources. Let me know if you have questions. ~Kvng (talk) 03:12, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
Question from Kulwantladhar88 (10:37, 7 July 2025)
[edit]could you help me to improve how to write article --Kulwantladhar88 10:37, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Kulwantladhar88. What article would you like to write? ~Kvng (talk) 20:44, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- i want write article about a Christian music releasing company Kulwantladhar88 13:47, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Kulwantladhar88, do you have any conflict of interest associated with this company, e.g. are you an employee? ~Kvng (talk) 14:30, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- no, there is no any conflict, yes i am employee Kulwantladhar88 14:38, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Kulwantladhar88, You apparently did not read the WP:COI page I linked in my reply; if you are an employee, there is a conflict. Special considerations are required in this case. The first thing I would suggest you do is find WP:THREE reliable sources that establish notability of the company. ~Kvng (talk) 15:09, 12 July 2025 (UTC)

Ooo page
[edit]hi Kvng I'm partially recovered from strokes and Domestic violence but the Ischemic strokes continue, so have not been able to keep an eye on pages. I note some great work on cleaning up the Ooo page, it however still contains some real serious factual errors that are down to massive failure on the part of Academia (Patterson in particular as a high-profile instance with a much greater "reach" due to his reputation) on Scoreboard design. the world's leading expert is Mitch Alsup and his Opteron design pissed all over Intel equivalents so badly (IPC was so high) that AMD had to invent an "equivalent" clock rate numbering scheme. I found a link proving 88100 had precise exceptions: Mitch taught me about Shadow Matrices (on comp.arch). also 6600 had RaW and WaR but not WaW. that's all in Thornton's Book. page numbers provided. Lkcl (talk) 14:03, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Lkcl, if the reliable sources on a subject are getting it wrong, WP is going to necessarily get it wrong too - WP:NOR. I wish you well on your recovery. ~Kvng (talk) 15:03, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- I am poognantly familiar with the "reliable source being unreliable" paradigm :) at least the page on Consciousness has had so much study done that experts know they don't know! Lkcl (talk) 16:11, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

Work at Agent Extensibility Protocol
[edit]Hi, first I wanted to say thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia and I am sorry that we are not aligned on this particular article. It wasn't helpful for you to accuse me of not constructive edits: we are both here to improve Wikipedia. Of course, the reason I removed the sources (just as the reason you added and restored them) was because we both believed this action to improve the article. I have done a further in-depth analysis of the sources at Talk:Agent Extensibility Protocol. Please take a look. Based on this, I believe the article does not merit GNG, so I have nominated it for AfD.
May I ask why you are so interested in this topic? It seems relatively obscure. Thanks, Caleb Stanford (talk) 00:43, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Caleb Stanford, as I assumed you were aware, the article just survived an AfD so it would disruptive to nominate it again so soon unless you have significant new information. Your contributions to that discussion was WP:BLUDGEONING and I assume you're not going to like that accusation either but you confronted, sometimes multiple times, all the keep voters so I don't know what else to call it.
- I have implemented SNMP agents so was aware of AgentX and had considered using it at one point so was aware there was information available from reliable sources on how it works making it a poor candidate for deletion. ~Kvng (talk) 13:53, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- No WP:BLUDGEONing and WP:AfD allows second nominations. I encourage you to take a look at the detailed analysis of the sources. If you notice any mistakes in my analyses, by all means, I am all ears! It would be more constructive not to make unfounded accusations and assumptions. Kind regards, Caleb Stanford (talk) 17:45, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- P.S. Thanks for the answer. "was aware there was information available from reliable sources" -- please procure them! So far we only have primary source obscure research articles. Caleb Stanford (talk) 17:48, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Caleb Stanford that is your assessment of the sources. I and the other AfD participants are apparently satisfied with them for now. I will try to make further improvements when I have a chance. I'm not interested in engaging you further on this topic at this time. ~Kvng (talk) 18:39, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- It's really the only assessment of the sources unless and until someone else takes a look. Almost all of them were cited incorrectly. Of course, no worries and all the best in your future edits. Caleb Stanford (talk) 20:45, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

Question from Apenname0123 (21:03, 15 July 2025)
[edit]Hi how are you? I’m trying to create an article for my client in order to link them to other published articles that exist . New to editing , thank you --Apenname0123 (talk) 21:03, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Apenname0123, it sounds like you're being WP:PAID to create this article. That is allowed with significant restrictions. Please review the link and let me know if you have any questions. ~Kvng (talk) 00:24, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Hey, how can I make my own article? --Nemtommi (talk) 21:02, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Nemtommi, this is probably our most frequently asked question so I'll direct you to our helpful article on it. ~Kvng (talk) 23:31, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
The issues of lack of notability remain. Importance is not the same as notability. Bearian (talk) 20:07, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
I'm aware that "useless" and "embarrassing" are not reasons to delete. But it's still unsourced and completely synthesis. Bearian (talk) 20:08, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm not sure you understand what WP:SYNTH is. I know it would be good if someone added sources but a lack of sources is not a valid reason to delete an article. You can tag and then eventually delete unsourced material in an article if it is controversial or wrong. ~Kvng (talk) 22:06, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
Repeated DePRODs
[edit]I can fully understand dePRODing an article because you believe there is an WP:ATD like redirection (although I must ask that you please redirect the article if you do, as simply reverting the edit and leaving the redirect for someone else to do is creating additional busywork for myself and other editors). However, I must request that you cease removing PRODs solely based on number of incoming links. This does not in any way indicate that a PROD is controversial, as it is usually due to inclusion on an navbox, which can be done by anyone in a few seconds and get the page to show up on hundreds of articles (most incoming links for Physics Abstraction Layer were transclusions from Template:Physics engines, Template:Benchmark, etc.) Or at the very least, if you must do it, please check if the links are actually from major articles, where the page is linked in a prominent way, and not just a rote addition to an infobox or navbox. Thank you. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 20:16, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- I do often boldly WP:BLAR non-notable albums and sports seasons when I have time but there was a bulge in the prod pipeline today. Also I wonder if prodders might be more inclined to look for ATDs themselves if they have to do the extra work you claim I'm creating.
- I would like to be able to determine how many non-navbox incoming links there are to an article. I've asked around and so far no one has found a way. ~Kvng (talk) 22:00, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- You may want to try Help:What links here#Workaround to hide transcluded links. There is a user script you can install, User:PrimeHunter/Source links.js, that gives you a button that can find links that aren't from a template.
- To clarify; I do look for ATDs that make sense, but often the ones that you are suggesting would make little sense because the topic is not relevant to the suggested article. Noise Factory is mentioned so little in SNK, for example, that a redirect would be less helpful than just letting the search function do its job. Might there possibly be something out there that could be used to expand SNK enough to make it viable? Sure, but I don't see you doing it either, so that about sums up how the average person would feel about looking for it. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 22:40, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I will have a look.
- I don't agree with you WRT SNK and Noise Factory and if two experienced editors disagree that in itself is enough to make the deletion potentially controversial and not a good prod candidate. If you don't beleive me, take Noise Factory to AfD and see what happens. ~Kvng (talk) 22:53, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
