FTC sends payments to people who bought products from Roca Labs
The FTC is sending 7,481 payments totaling more than $409,000 to people who bought products from Roca Labs, marketers of weight-loss supplements.
If you get a check, please cash it within 90 days.
If you get a PayPal payment, please accept it within 30 days.
The FTC is also sending claims forms to 34 people who bought a product from Roca Labs before October 2015.
What was the lawsuit about?
According to the FTC, Roca Labs claimed that its weight-loss supplements were effective alternatives to gastric bypass surgery. The FTC says these claims weren’t true. The company also threatened to sue customers who shared their negative experiences online or complained to the Better Business Bureau.
A court order required Roca Labs to pay money. The FTC is using that money to send payments to eligible customers who bought a product from Roca Labs before October 2015.
