Speedy deletion declined: Abdu Ali Abdul Rahman
[edit]Hi there, and thank you for all your help making Wikipedia better! I wanted to let you know that I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Abdu Ali Abdul Rahman because "notability" is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. However, if you do not believe the subject is notable, you may submit it for deletion via Articles for Deletion. Thanks for your diligence in maintaining Wikipedia's content standards! Always cite reliable sources
[edit] Hello, I'm Worldbruce. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, A.K.Mohammed Ali Sikder, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 20:58, 27 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]If you've already tagged it for possible COI, then it will be looked into by the editors who work on investigating possible COIs. Since I'm not one of those, however, there's no particular point in trying to bring it to my personal attention, since I'm not involved in that and don't have the necessary expertise. You don't need to waste your time going around looking for editors to bring it up to, since the tag has already placed it in the COI queue where it will already get dealt with by the editors who deal with those things. Bearcat (talk) 13:22, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Hello Novaclia. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Novaclia. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Novaclia|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Children Will Listen (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs) 17:21, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
- Just to clarify , I’m not involved in any kind of paid editing on Wikipedia. I came across the Santy Sharma article while reading a OneIndia news piece that was used as a reference there. It caught my attention because it felt promotional, and I noticed he runs his own marketing agency, which raised some red flags for me
- Based on that, I tagged the article for deletion because I genuinely thought it might fall under undisclosed paid content
- not because I’m affiliated in any way. I have no connection to the subject or anyone involved, and if you check my edit history, I haven’t done anything that would suggest otherwise.
- I understand how important COI and transparency are here, and I just wanted to clear that up. Let me know if you need anything else from my side.Novaclia 🌀 Novaclia (talk) 17:26, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Rahat Kazmi (Pakistani actor). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. - That's weird, maybe you clicked the submit button by mistake or something? Anyway, I made a few edits to your article to improve its neutrality. In the future, there's a "Move" button in the toolbar that you should use when moving/renaming pages, instead of cutting and pasting the page text. Thanks.
