JednoczeÅnie warto przypomnieÄ historiÄ implementacji tej metody badawczej w warunkach bardzo wczesnej fazy gospodarki rynkowej, zarówno z organizacyjnego jak i badawczego punktu widzenia. At the same time it is worth recalling the history of the implementation of the business tendency surveys in a very early stage of the market economy, from both an organizational and research points of view. The first experience dates back to the late 80s of the last century. At that time, the first experiments with the new method in conditions of the Polish economy began at two universities: Warsaw School of Economics and University of Economics in PoznaÅ. As the experience shows, these ways turned out to be different. The first, represented by the Research Institute for Economic Development (RIED), led to the creation and maintenance of a research center with its own database. The second, represented by the Microeconomic Department, was to transfer its own experiences to the Central Statistical Office (CSO) and cooperation with it. The article focuses on the history of the introduction of the business survey method to the Central Statistical Office, treating it as a parallel track to the concept of building its own research center. In the final section the advantages and disadvantages of both ways are presented.]
