Welcome to our website! Wlakamigen, Nitona… We, the Ko’asek (Co’wasuck) Traditional Band of the Sovereign Abenaki Nation trace the origin of our tribe back over 180 years, originating in what is now called Vermont.

Our Mission Statement
The Ko’asek (Co’wasuck) Traditional Band of the Sovereign Abenaki Nation, is committed to advancing knowledge and understanding of our Native culture in our traditional ways regarding our ancient territory.
Through partnership and cooperation with other Native people, we strive to unite within the Wabanaki Confederacy in peace and harmony. We strive to educate our members in our ancient ways and customs while incorporating these tools in our contemporary Native life today.

Membership
Enrollment includes members mainly representing New England but also 41 US states and 5 Canadian provinces

The weekend will include: Food, Children’s Tent, Songs,
Drumming, Dancing, Vendors and Storytelling, Animals, and Raptors

Open at 10 AM, and GRAND ENTRY is at NOON
