Meet the admissions team
The Office of Admissions at the University of Maine at Machias is home to a small, dedicated team of enrollment and recruitment experts who are here to help you navigate the college application and registration process. If you are on campus, stop and visit the admission office on the first floor of Torrey Hall.
Peggy Slicer, Assistant Director – Communications Specialist
Peg is a long-time resident of Down East Maine with two very large, drooly dogs (pictured at left) and one spoiled cat. She loves hiking, beaches, and the sense of family that she encounters everywhere she goes in this community.

Dorsey Ellis, Assistant Director of Admissions
Dorsey worked on campus as a student worker in the admissions office while attending UMM, and after graduating, was hired on as an Admissions Counselor. She is now an Assistant Director of Admissions. Her office is located in the Admissions Welcome Center in Torrey Hall.

Morgan is a life long resident of Downeast Maine and UMaine Machias alum. They live here with their husband and two dogs, Hazel and Tracker.
