Not as hot today but highs will stay in the low 90s and the heat index near 100 degrees. Expect partly sunny skies for much of the day. While the forecast doesn’t call for widespread storms, the intense heat could spark an isolated late-day thunderstorm.

A few storms are likely to continue overnight for parts of the area. Localized flash flooding is possible where heavy downpours occur. Severe weather is not expected.

Expect more clouds than sun, and by the afternoon, anticipate showers and thunderstorms. Some storms may become strong to severe with gusty winds and brief heavy downpours. Stay alert for the potential for localized flash flooding.

Wet weather is not expect, but the heat will dominate over the next few days with above-average highs in the middle 90s and the heat index over 100 degrees, potentially as high as 105 to 110 in some neighborhoods. Heat advisories may be issued for parts of the area.
